What IS your relationship with money, prosperity and abundance? What "money messages" do you have?

 Whether you like it or not, in order to access the abundance that is your birthright, especially external abundance, it's going to involve money - making, spending and managing it! Part of that process may require that you evaluate and examine your current relationship with money as well as your current financial situation - whatever it may be. In other words, you're going to need to be willing to take a look at your own "money stuff"!!!
Why?
Because there's a good chance that some (or A LOT!) of the "stuff" about money and money management you've learned is actually preventing you from being abundant! And, since all learning, growth and transformation begins with awareness, until you become aware of those thoughts, patterns and beliefs, you will continue to experience scarcity - including (and especially!) financial scarcity.
So - what IS your relationship with money, prosperity and abundance?
Do you know how this relationship was formed?
More importantly, are you aware of how it influences you today?
As with so many of the thoughts, beliefs, attitudes and patterns human beings develop, your relationship with money, time, success, work, prosperity and abundance began at an early age. It was first formed from things you heard, observed or experienced - when you were young and then throughout your life. It was also formed as a result of things you may have never heard, things you never saw, and experiences you didn't (or haven't) had.
Most of us saw, heard and experienced these "money messages" (and "life messages") from many external sources including parents, teachers, the media, advertising, religious organizations, etc. In addition, we often make up our own "money messages" without realizing it! Starting at a young age, we've been told that "we have to be careful or we may run out of something", that "money doesn't grow on trees", that "we don't have enough money for...". Commercials tell us that we "can't have enough" in life until we have product X or service Y. We look at all that we have accomplished in a day and see only what we haven't done, i.e., that we are "not enough".
There's a good chance that you may not even be aware of many of your "money messages" - because much of this "conditioning" has been stored in your subconscious mind! To the degree you're not aware of them, you are also unaware of the influence they have over you. In the case of disempowering, "scarcity messages", that means you are not aware of how they are continuing to influence you and impact your life and limit your abundance today!
Now - when it comes to these "money messages" and this past "conditioning", it's important to understand that you can be influenced in one of two ways (or both). On the one hand, you may have incorporated a message into your life verbatim or at face value. The other manner in which may be influenced is by rebelling against it - you spend your money, time, and energy avoiding, resisting or acting out a "not that" response to the old message or pattern.
That being said, it's equally important to understand not all of these "money messages" are automatically "scarcity" messages. You may have been fortunate enough to also have heard, observed or experienced "messages" that taught you and supported your abundance. Determining whether a message you've received is a scarcity message requires that you look to see how it has impacted your life, i.e., have you experienced abundance or scarcity as a result of its influence?
