The First Stage in the Cycle...
 As with any journey you may travel, having a "roadmap" for the Journey of Abundance will support you in your travels. In many ways, the three-stage cycle we call "The Cycle of Learning, Growth and Abundance" is like a "roadmap" for the transformational process of accessing the abundance that is your birthright.
The first stage in this ongoing, natural cycle is that of AWARENESS.
In order to access greater levels of abundance and fulfillment in your life, you must be aware of your present situation and your goal and dreams as well as your scarcity patterns and old, limiting beliefs. Similarly, without awareness, you will never recognize or experience abundance in your life.
However, in a cycle that supports learning, growth and continued abundance, awareness, by itself, will rarely support you – especially when it comes to transforming your scarcity patterns, limiting beliefs and scarcity-based "money messages" .
Why?
Awareness – by itself – will rarely support you because there's a good chance that you will use your awareness to beat yourself up when the patterns, thoughts, or results you become aware of are perceived as "bad", "wrong", "negative", or different than they "should" or "are supposed" to be. (This is ESPECIALLY true when it comes to money!)
For example, you may take a courageous step to get more clarity and awareness about your finances – but then, once you get that clarity, you "beat yourself up" with your judgments about what you've learned! These self-inflicted judgments might sound like "I can't believe I let it get this bad" or "This shouldn't be happening" or even "This is horrible – how could I be so stupid to let things get out of hand like this?".
(Just checking – have you ever been guilty of "beating yourself up" in this way?)
That's why we say that the first stage in a Cycle of Learning, Growth and Abundance is AWARENESS - WITHOUT JUDGMENT.
You see, if you're aware of something AND you judge it to be wrong, negative, bad or "not the way it should be" – that judgment drains your energy and power and often creates fear, shame, embarrassment and/or paralysis. Instead of being able to learn from whatever you've become aware of, the judgment you have about it actually shuts down the possibility for learning, growth and expanded abundance.
On the other hand, if you can be aware – without judgment – of a limiting belief, scarcity pattern or the facts about a particular moment or situation, then the Cycle of Learning and Growth continues its natural flow.
Choice is the second stage in the Cycle we're describing. Once you have awareness – without judgment – you also have the freedom to choose the action you will or will not take.
For example, let's say that you become aware that you have a pattern of spending a lot of money when you're lonely or depressed. If you can accept that awareness – without judgment – you now have the opportunity to choose to reclaim your power from that pattern.
(In truth, until you are aware of the pattern – you are powerless to change it!)
With this new awareness – without judgment – you can now choose to spend or not spend your money. The choice of action is yours and yours alone. When you are not aware of the pattern or when you have a "negative" judgment about the pattern, the pattern and judgment is what makes the choice – NOT you!
Unfortunately, you may find that the very act of making a choice actually stops you AND your growth in its tracks!
