Inspiration, Abundance & Your Birthright...
To inspire is to inhale – to breathe. As essential as breathing is for life, so is inspiration for your Journey of Abundance.
To inspire also means to "affect, guide, or arouse by divine influence." It means to "fill with enlivening or exalting emotion." Yet another definition tells us that to inspire is "to draw forth; elicit or arouse."
Most importantly, to inspire is "to breathe life into." In one of the biblical stories of Creation, you will read how "the Lord God formed man out of the clay of the ground and then breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and thus man became a living being." This century-old story describes a God or Higher Power that inspires us with life. (How's that for abundance?)
These definitions become all the more inspiring (no pun intended!) when you consider that the word "inspire" is derived from the word "spirit". Thus, we could say that to be "inspired" is to be affected, guided or aroused by your divine, abundant spirit.
Consider yet another biblical account of Creation that tells that "God created male and female in his own image and likeness." No matter what name you give to the Higher Power that created this Universe, you'll probably agree that the image is one of indescribable abundance and life – not scarcity and limitation and death. It is in this image of abundance that you were created – that your spirit was inspired with life itself. You were created "in the image and likeness" of abundance.
Thus, your spirit is abundant and abundance is your birthright.
This truth becomes even more empowering (and inspiring!) when you consider that the word "birthright" is defined as:
1: a right or privilege that you are entitled to at birth;
2: an inheritance coming by right of birth; AND
3: personal characteristics that are inherited at birth
So – what does all of this mean for you and your life?
It means that you do NOT have to do anything to earn or deserve abundance. You do NOT have to prove anything. You also do NOT have to limit yourself, struggle or settle for anything less than abundance in your life. Abundance is a right, privilege and inheritance entitled to you at birth – and it is also a personal characteristic that you inherited at birth.
Having read this, you may now be wondering, "If this is true, why isn't my life as abundant as I want it to be?"
That's a GREAT question!
In fact, it's one that the famous racehorse, Sea Biscuit, might have asked himself nearly 70 years ago – that is, of course, if a horse could read and ask questions!
