"Are You Looking for More Balance in Your Life?"
 It occurs far too often in Network Marketing. You may be so excited about or committed to your business and the money you can make and the freedom it can provide for you that you put the rest of your life "on hold" while you're making it happen.
If this describes you, then - without realizing it - you are probably being influenced by a "formula" or "blueprint" you've learned that will always create scarcity in your life!
This "formula" or "blueprint" - so prevalent in industrialized cultures for both entrepreneurs and non-entrepreneurs alike - implies (consciously or subconsciously) that you must DO something in order to BE abundant or successful. In fact, the general "formula" most of us know for success and abundance is that we have to DO something in order to HAVE something so that we can BE abundant and successful.
In a network marketing business, for example, this "formula" might sound like this:
"I need to DO the following: make phone calls, send prospecting kits, go to trainings, work hard, enroll others, sponsor people, etc."
"If I DO these things, then I will HAVE more customers, more people in my downline, more sales, more commissions, more money, a residual income, etc."
"When I HAVE these things, then I will BE abundant. THEN I will have a life that is balanced. THEN I can spend more time with my family and friends, doing the things I love to do."
While many of the actions described are truly necessary to build your business, the problem with this formula is that the "DOing" stuff is rarely (if ever) done! As a result, you never get to the HAVING or BEING stages - or when you do, it's "not enough" and/or you feel guilty because there's still so much to DO. Thus, you may continue to spend every spare moment building your business – thinking that you need to DO so in order to EXPERIENCE the abundance you desire.
Consider, for example, the following metaphor...
If you planted an apple seed, you'd expect an apple tree to grow from it, right?
Similarly, if you planted an orange seed, you'd expect an orange tree – not an apple tree – to grow from it.
You wouldn't expect an apple tree to grow from an orange seed because the type of seed you start with determines what will grow!
Now, let's apply this to the DO-HAVE-BE "mode of operation" we've been discussing. According to this "formula", you have to DO something in order to HAVE something so that you will then BE abundant, successful, balanced and/or free.
Notice that this automatically implies that, until you DO and HAVE those things, you are NOT abundant or successful or balanced or free today. And, if you are not abundant today, that implies that your starting point, i.e., "your seed", is SCARCITY.
So – what kind of "tree" would you expect to grow from a "scarcity seed"?
A "scarcity tree" – no matter how much money you make or what level in your compensation plan you achieve or how big your downline becomes!
In order to experience balance and abundance WHILE building your business, you must build your business in a way that starts with and continues to grow with a "seed of abundance". The new "mode of operation" that you must develop is one of BE-HAVE-DO.
You must act in a way that is congruent with abundance today if you are ever going to experience and enjoy abundance in the future. Today you must BE abundant AND, as a result, take actions to express and grow your abundance "seed"! Today you must express, through action, the qualities or characteristics of abundance – qualities like being courageous, generous, open and receptive, consistent, purposeful and playful/lighthearted, among others.
Believe me, one of the best ways for you to experience balance again in your life is to make sure you have FUN in some say EVERY day! You'll be amazed at how much "work" you get done in your business when you PLAY along the way!
